Practice model is consistent with ASHP best-practice decentralized model, has an Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, and home to a PGY1 residency program with three residents per year.

Strong preference for PGY1 Residency Training (or PGY2).

63,000 Emergency Room (ER) visits per year
Accredited Primary Stroke Center
Wound Care Hyperbaric Medicine Center
2,500 babies delivered per year and level 3 NICU
Planned expansion of 72 beds, 3 additional surgery centers, and 3 new floors
 

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Saint Thomas Health Services, you will have the opportunity to manage the daily operations of pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements performance improvement activities to include medication safety, medication use evaluation and pharmacoeconomics.
  • Conducts competency assessments and coordinates the training and development of pharmacists, pharmacy residents and pharmacy students.
  • Develops and manages departmental budget to promote pharmacoeconomics.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Also serves on various committees.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • Pharmacist with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
Education:
  • Diploma 
    • Bachelor's degree required Master's degree preferred
Work Experience:
  • 3 years of experience required. 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
