As a Medical Assistant with St. Vincent's HealthCare-FL, you will have the opportunity to assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician at our Mayo Clinic DePaul Office of Jacksonville,FL
 
Schedule: Full-Time,Day  Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) by hire date or job transfer date. 
  • Medical Assistant. 
    • Nat'l Medical Assistant (MA) Certification - CMA (Cert. Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)/AAMA Cert. (American Association of Medical Assistants). NCCT, AAMA, or AMT are acceptable certification sites. Completion of Basic Machine Operators (BMO) cert. preferred. 
Education:
  • Diploma 
    • High school diploma or GED required
Work Experience:
  • Oncology Experience preferred
  • Specialty Office experience preferred
